A great crowd on hand today to enjoy their first turns of the season here at Bretton Woods. The lift will be turning today and tomorrow, and then we will wait until later in the week to reopen - hopefully with expanded terrain, so be sure to check the Snow Conditions report for the latest details.

Bretton Woods' first turns of 2009/10!! A special guest joins us for some turns and a few photos on some new snow!

The snowguns are still fired up, but it was time for someone to go skiing... so Aaron Kellog, of WMUR TV channel 9 in Manchester, joined us for the first turns on the year at Bretton Woods! You can see more of Aaron's early-season skiing adventure on snow tonight at 6pm on WMUR, channel 9!

The Bretton Woods snowmaking team is at it again, as Mother Nature is letting them blast out their own version of the white stuff. Opening day can't be far away... stay tuned for the latest details!

That's right! Opening day is nearly upon us, and the Bretton Woods snowmaking team was out in force getting things started yesterday morning behind the base lodge and up on the hill! We hope to open this weekend, if Mother Nature allows, so stay tuned for the latest updates and schedules!

The first group out on Bretton Woods Canopy Tour at Omni Mount Washington Resort got a nice greeting of snow flurries as they arrived at the top of the course this morning. By the time they finished their tour, the sun was peaking through the clouds!

Taking advantage of a quiet moment, this couple found chairs on the veranda of The Mount Washington Hotel where they could enjoy the sunshine and the colors beginning to take over the landscape here in Bretton Woods.

Daily photo 9/18: End of 2nd leg of the Reach the Beach relay - good luck to all!

Runners enter the driveway to Bretton Woods alpine ski area as they conclude the second leg of the Reach the Beach Relay. This annual relay race begins in nearby Franconia Notch and ends at the NH seacoast in Hampton, after an all-night, 200-mile, 37-leg journey for each 12-runner team. The race benefits a number of great organizations, including the NH State Parks.

On the first Bretton Woods Canopy Tour of the day, this group was treated to spectacular views and comfortable temperatures. Some members of the group seemed quite happy not to be hanging out in their home on Bermuda, with Bill planning to visit sometime in the next day or so.
